Nothing matters in business if you don't have customers.
And customers don't appear out of thin air. They're earned.
I started my first business at 23 years old - a personal training company in Peoria, Arizona. At 23, I was earning nearly $40,000 per month. Not bad.
I was a pretty good personal trainer, sure. But, that wasn't what earned my early success.
It was my ability to generate leads, and convert a high number of those leads into paying customers.
From there, I started a marketing agency that generated up to $1.4 Million Per Month, that I eventually sold to a company in Australia in 2024.
However, through that company, I helped over 4,000 businesses with their sales, marketing, and business growth.
To me, one of the biggest travesties is watching a company with a tremendous amount of potential and work ethic do the wrong things (or the right things wrong) - then pay the price.
Marketing doesn't have to be hard. Humans tend to do a great job of complicating simple things.
Sales is even simpler. Most people just take the long, windy, bumpy road that usually leads to uncertainty.
Growing a business is as simple as this:
1. Create a great product that people want (ideally need or feel like they need).
2. Define your target audience clearly, then learn where they spend their time and attention.
3. Stick to a couple tactics to earn their attention and master those few - don't spread too far too fast.
4. Create a compelling pitch that gets them sold before you even ask for the sale.
5. Use a bit of pricing psychology to make the presentation of your offer a no-brainer.
6. Upsell and ask for referrals at the point of sale.
7. Continue to ask for referrals, reviews, repurchases, and feedback throughout the relationship.
8. Use that feedback to constantly improve your product and messaging.
9. Create systems to get more done in less time.
10. Hire people to run those systems.
